Hi,everyone
I just returned from Guilin and enjoyed it very much. Theater was my major in college and in Yangshuo a most interesting grand scale performance is put on. It is produced and directed by Yimou Zhang, of whom I was told over and over is very famous! They use over five hundred local people, keeping the minority folk songs and traditions alive. This is done on a grand scale on the banks of the Liu River, just below the peaks. The stage is the river and the 12 peaks behind, at least one kilometer by two kilometers is the grand scale of the spectacle. It is done very artistically and well worth seeing. When I was there on a Monday night the place was packed. My Chinese friends told me this was because people from up to ten hours away will drive just to see this show over and over again. The use of the local fishermen is very creative. It’s worth to see. The night show, meals and hotels are all great,I am very satisfied with booking service of http://www.86hotels.com .
